Research Services At the New York State Archives

11th Floor Research Room - Possible Disruptions

Beginning on Wednesday August 6 electrical contractors will be working on the 11th floor of the Cultural Education Center.  This work, part of on-going security upgrades, may affect researchers using the collections of the New York State Archives and/or the New York State Library Manuscripts.  The work may take up to 4 weeks and we will probably not know in advance when the workers will be in the Research Room.

We provide access to over 100,000 cubic feet of archival records of New York State government (executive, legislative, and judicial branches), and to over 10,000 rolls of microfilmed archival records of local governments. We also assist researchers in locating archival records relating to New York in other government agencies and in historical records repositories.
